Melissa Gibson is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who received her Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychology and her PPS credential from National University.
Her undergraduate degree was achieved from California State University Fullerton where she received a Bachelors of Arts in Communications and holds a Minor in Sociology. The last two years she has been working in schools located in the Irvine Unified School District and last year she facilitated the drug and alcohol alternative to suspension classes for Irvine.
Melissa has worked with the crisis intervention unit as a counselor for the Orange Police Department and has experience with domestic violence, child abuse, eating disorders, and issues relating to substance abuse. Melissa is currently a school counselor in the Orange County area.
She also holds a part time position with College Hospital where she works with the mentally ill. Eventually she would like to open a private practice working with adolescents and families. She has been married for one year and would like to expand her family one day.
